^12 (A)And when thy days be fulfilled, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy body, and will establish his kingdom.

¹⁶ And thine house shall be established and thy kingdom forever before thee, even thy throne shall be ^[a]established forever.

⁴ That the Lord may confirm his word which he spake unto me, saying, If thy sons take heed to their way, that they walk before me in ^[a]truth, with all their hearts, and with all their souls, ^(A)[b]thou shalt not (said he) want one of thy posterity upon the throne of Israel.

⁵ Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel forever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, ^(A)Thou shalt not want a man upon the throne of Israel.

¹⁹ Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, ^(A)as he had promised him to give him a light, and to his children forever.

¹⁶ Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father, that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou ^[a]shalt not want a man in my sight, that shall sit upon the throne of Israel, so that thy sons take heed to their ways to walk in my Law, as thou hast walked before me.
