And do not walk in My judgments,

33 “But I will not break off (C)My lovingkindness from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34 “My (D)covenant I will not [b]violate,
Nor will I (E)alter [c]the utterance of My lips.
35 “[d]Once I have (F)sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
36 “His [e](G)descendants shall endure forever

And cast his throne to the ground.

46 (AB)How long, O Lord?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your (AC)wrath burn like fire?
47 (AD)Remember [j]what my span of life is;
For what (AE)vanity [k]You have created all the sons of men!
48 What man can live and not (AF)see death?
Can he (AG)deliver his soul from the [l]power of [m]Sheol? Selah.
49 Where are Your former lovingkindnesses, O Lord,
Which You (AH)swore to David in Your faithfulness?
50 Remember, O Lord, the (AI)reproach of Your servants;
[n]How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,
51 With which (AJ)Your enemies have reproached, O Lord,
With which they have reproached the footsteps of (AK)Your anointed.
