17 Nathan reported all these words and this entire vision to David.
David’s Prayer of Thanksgiving
18 Then King David went in,(A) sat in the Lord’s presence, and said,
Who am I, Lord God, and what is my house that you have brought me this far? 19 What you have done so far[a] was a little thing to you, Lord God, for you have also spoken about your servant’s house in the distant future. And this is a revelation[b] for mankind, Lord God.

18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God?
