2 Samuel 8:12-14
Modern English Version
12 that is, from Aram,[a] Moab, the Ammonites, the Philistines, Amalek, and the plunder from Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 So David made a name for himself upon his return from defeating eighteen thousand Arameans[b] in the Valley of Salt.
14 He set up garrisons in Edom. Throughout all of Edom, he set up garrisons, and all of Edom became subject to David. The Lord helped David wherever he went.

New International Version
12 Edom[a](A) and Moab,(B) the Ammonites(C) and the Philistines,(D) and Amalek.(E) He also dedicated the plunder taken from Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 And David became famous(F) after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites[b] in the Valley of Salt.(G)
14 He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites(H) became subject to David.(I) The Lord gave David victory(J) wherever he went.(K)
