4 Te encarezco delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, que juzgará a los vivos y a los muertos en su manifestación y en su reino, 2 que prediques la palabra; que instes a tiempo y fuera de tiempo; redarguye, reprende, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina. 3 Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina, sino que teniendo comezón de oír, se amontonarán maestros conforme a sus propias concupiscencias, 4 y apartarán de la verdad el oído y se volverán a las fábulas. 5 Pero tú sé sobrio en todo, soporta las aflicciones, haz obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio.
6 Porque yo ya estoy para ser sacrificado, y el tiempo de mi partida está cercano. 7 He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. 8 Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida.

9 Procura venir pronto a verme, 10 porque Demas(A) me ha desamparado, amando este mundo, y se ha ido a Tesalónica. Crescente fue a Galacia, y Tito(B) a Dalmacia. 11 Solo Lucas(C) está conmigo. Toma a Marcos(D) y tráele contigo, porque me es útil para el ministerio. 12 A Tíquico(E) lo envié a Éfeso. 13 Trae, cuando vengas, el capote que dejé en Troas(F) en casa de Carpo, y los libros, mayormente los pergaminos. 14 Alejandro(G) el calderero me ha causado muchos males; el Señor le pague conforme a sus hechos. 15 Guárdate tú también de él, pues en gran manera se ha opuesto a nuestras palabras. 16 En mi primera defensa ninguno estuvo a mi lado, sino que todos me desampararon; no les sea tomado en cuenta. 17 Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado, y me dio fuerzas, para que por mí fuese cumplida la predicación, y que todos los gentiles oyesen. Así fui librado de la boca del león. 18 Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala, y me preservará para su reino celestial. A él sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

4 I (A)charge you [a]therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, (B)who will judge the living and the dead [b]at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. (C)Convince, (D)rebuke, (E)exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 (F)For the time will come when they will not endure (G)sound doctrine, (H)but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and (I)be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, (J)endure afflictions, do the work of (K)an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

6 For (L)I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of (M)my departure is at hand. 7 (N)I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me (O)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous (P)Judge, will give to me (Q)on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

The Lord Is Faithful
17 (X)But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, (Y)so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered (Z)out of the mouth of the lion. 18 (AA)And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. (AB)To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
Come Before Winter
19 Greet (AC)Prisca and Aquila, and the household of (AD)Onesiphorus. 20 (AE)Erastus stayed in Corinth, but (AF)Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
21 Do your utmost to come before winter.
