15 as to whom you also be guarding yourself, for he greatly opposed our words.
16 At my first defense no one was present[a] with me, but they all deserted me. May it not be counted against them. 17 But the Lord stood-by me and strengthened me, in order that through me the proclamation might be fulfilled and all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of a lion’s mouth.

15 You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.
16 At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me.
