² But ^(A)Jehu the son of ^(B)Hanani ^(C)the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you ^(D)help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, ^(E)wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

^10 (A)whenever a case comes to you from your brothers who live in their cities, concerning bloodshed, law or commandment, statutes or rules, then you shall warn them, that they may not incur guilt before the Lord and ^(B)wrath may not come upon you and your brothers. Thus you shall do, and you will not incur guilt.

¹¹ Now hear me, and send back the captives ^(A)from your relatives whom you have taken, for the fierce wrath of the Lord is upon you.”

¹³ and said to them, “You shall not bring the captives in here, for you propose to bring upon us guilt against the Lord in addition to our present sins and guilt. For our guilt is already great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”

⁸ Therefore ^(A)the wrath of the Lord came on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has made them ^(B)an object of horror, of astonishment, ^(C)and of hissing, as you see with your own eyes.

²⁵ But Hezekiah ^(A)did not make return according to the benefit done to him, for ^(B)his heart was proud. Therefore ^(C)wrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem.
