¹⁷ For we do not market the word of God^(A) for profit like so many.^[a] On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.

¹⁵ Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.^(A)

¹² For the word of God is living and effective^(A) and sharper than any double-edged sword,^(B) penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.^(C)
