Our Future after Death

5 For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling^[a](A) is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling^[b] in the heavens,^(B) not made with hands.^(C)

God’s Power in Christ

²⁰ He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand^(A) in the heavens^(B)—

⁶ Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,^(A)

¹⁰ This is so God’s multi-faceted wisdom^(A) may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.^(B)

¹² For our battle is not against flesh^(A) and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,^(B) against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil^(C) in the heavens.^(D)

Our Apostle and High Priest

3 Therefore, holy brothers and companions in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession;^(A)

²² Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God (the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering,^(A)
