²¹ for we ^(A)have regard for what is honorable, not only in ^(B)the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of other people.

¹⁵ so that you will ^[a]prove yourselves to be ^(A)blameless and innocent, ^(B)children of God above reproach in the midst of a ^(C)crooked and perverse generation, among whom you ^[b](D)appear as ^[c]lights in the world,

⁸ sound in speech which is beyond reproach, ^(A)so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

¹⁵ For ^[a](A)such is the will of God, that by doing right you ^(B)silence the ignorance of foolish people.

^16 [a]and keep a ^(A)good conscience so that in the thing in which ^(B)you are slandered, those who disparage your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
