²⁵ Then his officer, Pekah^(A) son of Remaliah, conspired against him^(B) and struck him down in Samaria at the citadel of the king’s palace^(C) —as well as Argob and Arieh.^[a] There were 50 Gileadite men with Pekah. He killed Pekahiah and became king in his place.

³⁷ In those days the Lord began sending Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.^(A)

⁵ Then^(A) Aram’s King Rezin and Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah came to wage war against Jerusalem. They besieged Ahaz but were not able to conquer him.^(B)
