^12 (A)and Jehoiachin the king of Judah gave himself up to the king of Babylon, himself and his mother and his servants and his officials and his palace officials. ^(B)The king of Babylon took him prisoner ^(C)in the eighth year of his reign

^15 (A)And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon. The king's mother, the king's wives, his officials, and the chief men of the land he took into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

¹² “Say now to ^(A)the rebellious house, ^(B)Do you not know what these things mean? Tell them, behold, ^(C)the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took her king and her princes and brought them to him to Babylon.

Jerusalem Struck Down

²¹ In the ^(A)twelfth year ^(B)of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, ^(C)a fugitive from Jerusalem came to me and said, ^(D)“The city has been struck down.”

40 ^(A)In the twenty-fifth year ^(B)of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, ^(C)in the fourteenth year after the city was struck down, on that very day, ^(D)the hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me to the city.^[a]
