^13 (A)He also brought out from there all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house, and he ^(B)smashed all the articles of gold ^(C)that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, just as the Lord had said.

Captivity in Babylon Begun

^10 (A)At the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent men and had him brought to Babylon with the valuable articles of the house of the Lord; and he made his relative ^(B)Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁶ Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying: “This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, “Behold, the ^(A)vessels of the Lord’s house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon”; for they are prophesying a ^(B)lie to you.

² And the ^(A)Lord handed Jehoiakim king of Judah over to him, along with some of the ^(B)vessels of the house of God; and he brought them to the land of ^(C)Shinar, to the house of his ^[a]god, and he brought the vessels into the treasury of his ^[b](D)god.
