⁶ Jehoiakim rested with his fathers, and his son Jehoiachin became king in his place.^(A)

¹⁴ Then he deported all Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the fighting men,^(A) 10,000 captives,^(B) and all the craftsmen and metalsmiths.^(C) Except for the poorest people of the land,^(D) no one remained.

²⁰ those Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he deported Jeconiah^[a] son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon along with all the nobles of Judah^(A) and Jerusalem.

1 In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the Chebar Canal,^(A) the heavens opened^(B) and I saw visions of God.^(C)

¹⁷ So all the generations from Abraham to David were 14 generations; and from David until the exile to Babylon, 14 generations; and from the exile to Babylon until the Messiah, 14 generations.^(A)
