¹¹ When David arose in the morning, the word of the Lord came to ^(A)the prophet Gad, David’s ^(B)seer, saying,

¹³ Yet the ^(A)Lord warned Israel and Judah ^(B)through all His prophets and ^(C)every seer, saying, “^(D)Turn from your evil ways and keep My commandments, My statutes according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets.”

²² All these who were chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were 212. These were enrolled by genealogy in their villages, ^(A)whom David and Samuel the seer appointed ^(B)in their office of trust.

²⁸ And all that Samuel the seer had dedicated and Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner and Joab the son of Zeruiah, everyone who had dedicated anything, all of this was ^[a]in the care of ^[b]Shelomoth and his relatives.

²⁹ Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of ^(A)Samuel the seer, in the chronicles of ^(B)Nathan the prophet and in the chronicles of ^(C)Gad the seer,

¹² Then Amaziah said to Amos, “^(A)Go, you seer, flee away to the land of Judah and there eat bread and there do your prophesying!
