20 For it is written in the book of Psalms,
[a]Let his habitation be made desolate,
And let no man dwell therein:
and,
21 Of the men therefore that have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and went out [d]among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John, unto the day that he was received up from us, of these must one become a witness with us of his resurrection.

20 “For,” said Peter, “it is written in the Book of Psalms:

21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, 22 beginning from John’s baptism(C) to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness(D) with us of his resurrection.”
