48 And as the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of [a]God: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was spread abroad throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews urged on the devout women of honorable estate, and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their borders.

New International Version
48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord;(A) and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
49 The word of the Lord(B) spread through the whole region. 50 But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.(C)
