⁵⁰ But ^(A)the Jews incited the ^[a](B)God-fearing women ^(C)of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their ^[b]district.

² But ^(A)the ^[a](B)unbelieving Jews instigated and embittered the ^[b]minds of the Gentiles against ^(C)the brothers.

^4 (A)But the multitude of the city was divided; and some ^[a]sided with ^(B)the Jews, and some with ^(C)the apostles. ⁵ And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and ^(D)the Jews with their rulers to mistreat and to ^(E)stone them,

¹⁹ But ^(A)Jews came from ^(B)Antioch and ^(C)Iconium, and after winning over the crowds and ^(D)stoning Paul, they were dragging him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.

^16 (A)hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles ^(B)so that they may be saved; with the result that they always ^(C)fill up the measure of their sins. But ^(D)wrath has come upon them ^[a]to the utmost.
