Acts 15:7-9 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

And when there was much disputing, Peter rose up and said to them, Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, and gave to them the Holy Spirit, even as he did to us. And he put no difference between them and us, but with faith purified their hearts.

Acts 15:7-9 New International Version (NIV)

After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.
