¹⁸ And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were ^[a]conversing with him. Some were saying, “What would ^(A)this ^[b]idle babbler wish to say?” Others, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,”—because he was preaching ^(B)Jesus and the resurrection.

²⁴ While Paul was saying this in his defense, Festus *said in a loud voice, “Paul, you are out of your mind! ^[a]Your great ^(A)learning is ^[b]driving you mad.”
