4 And (A)some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did (B)a great many of the devout (C)Greeks and not a few of the leading women. 5 (D)But the Jews[a] (E)were jealous, and taking (F)some wicked men of the rabble, they formed a mob, set the city in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the crowd.

New International Version
4 Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas,(A) as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.
5 But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city.(B) They rushed to Jason’s(C) house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.[a]
