18 After these things Paul went out of Athens, and came to Corinth.

And he found a man, a Jew, Aquila by name, of Pontus by kind, that late came from Italy, and Priscilla, his wife, for that Claudius commanded all Jews to depart from Rome; and he came to them.

And for that he was of the same craft, he dwelled with them, and wrought; and they were of ropemakers craft [soothly they were of tentmakers craft, that is, to make coverings to traveling men].

In Corinth

18 After this, Paul left Athens(A) and went to Corinth.(B) There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla,(C) because Claudius(D) had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.(E)
