12 During the time that Gallio was the governor of Achaia, some of the Jews came together against Paul. They took him to court. 13 They said to Gallio, “This man is teaching people to worship God in a way that is against our law!”

New International Version
11 So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.(A)
12 While Gallio was proconsul(B) of Achaia,(C) the Jews of Corinth made a united attack on Paul and brought him to the place of judgment. 13 “This man,” they charged, “is persuading the people to worship God in ways contrary to the law.”
