¹⁹ They came to ^(A)Ephesus, and he left them there. Now he himself entered ^(B)the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.

Paul in Ephesus

19 Now it happened that while ^(A)Apollos was in ^(B)Corinth, Paul passed through the ^(C)upper country and came to ^(D)Ephesus, and found some disciples.

¹⁰ This took place for ^(A)two years, so that all who lived in ^[a](B)Asia heard ^(C)the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

⁴ And ^[a]he was accompanied by Sopater of ^(A)Berea, the son of Pyrrhus, and by ^(B)Aristarchus and Secundus of the ^(C)Thessalonians, and ^(D)Gaius of ^(E)Derbe, and ^(F)Timothy, and ^(G)Tychicus and ^(H)Trophimus of ^[b](I)Asia.

¹⁶ For Paul had decided to sail past ^(A)Ephesus so that he would not have to lose time in ^[a](B)Asia; for he was hurrying, if it might be possible for him ^(C)to be in Jerusalem ^(D)the day of Pentecost.
