Acts 18:27-28
International Standard Version
27 When Apollos[a] wanted to cross over to Achaia, the brothers wrote to the disciples there, urging them to welcome him. On his arrival he greatly helped those who, through God’s[b] grace, had believed. 28 He successfully refuted the Jews in public and proved by the Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.[c]

27 When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia,(A) the brothers and sisters(B) encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed. 28 For he vigorously refuted his Jewish opponents in public debate, proving from the Scriptures(C) that Jesus was the Messiah.(D)
