GOD’S WORD Translation
7 About twelve men were in the group.
8 For three months Paul would go into the synagogue and speak boldly. He had discussions with people to convince them about God’s kingdom. 9 But when some people became stubborn, refused to believe, and had nothing good to say in front of the crowd about the way ⌞of Christ⌟, he left them. He took his disciples and held daily discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

New International Version
7 There were about twelve men in all.
8 Paul entered the synagogue(A) and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.(B) 9 But some of them(C) became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way.(D) So Paul left them. He took the disciples(E) with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.
