³⁸ Peter said to them, “^(A)Repent, and each of you be ^(B)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ When they heard this, they ^[a]quieted down and ^(A)glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the ^(B)repentance that leads to life.”

²⁰ but kept declaring both ^(A)to those of Damascus first, and also ^(B)at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even ^(C)to the Gentiles, that they should ^(D)repent and turn to God, performing deeds ^(E)appropriate to repentance.
