⁴ Then they were all filled^(A) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them ability for speech.^(B)

³⁶ As they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The eunuch said, “Look, there’s water! What would keep me from being baptized?”

¹⁷ Therefore, if God gave them the same gift that He also gave to us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I possibly hinder God?”^(A)

⁸ And God, who knows the heart, testified to them by giving^[a] the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us.^(A)
