⁴¹ So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand ^[a](A)souls.

⁴ But many of those who had heard the ^[a]message believed; and ^(A)the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

6 Now ^[a]at this time while the ^(A)disciples were ^(B)increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the ^[b](C)Hellenistic Jews against the native ^(D)Hebrews, because their ^(E)widows were being overlooked in ^(F)the daily serving of food.

^7 (A)The word of God kept on spreading; and ^(B)the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to ^(C)the faith.

³¹ So ^(A)the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria ^[a]enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.

³⁵ And all who lived at ^[a](A)Lydda and ^(B)Sharon saw him, and they ^(C)turned to the Lord.

⁴² It became known all over ^(A)Joppa, and ^(B)many believed in the Lord.

²¹ And ^(A)the hand of the Lord was with them, and ^(B)a large number who believed turned to the Lord.
