2 When he had gone through those parts, and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece. 3 When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia. 4 These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea; Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians; Gaius of Derbe; Timothy; and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, 3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him(A) just as he was about to sail for Syria,(B) he decided to go back through Macedonia.(C) 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus(D) and Secundus from Thessalonica,(E) Gaius(F) from Derbe, Timothy(G) also, and Tychicus(H) and Trophimus(I) from the province of Asia.(J)
