Acts 21:29-31

29 (For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they thought that Paul had brought into the temple.) 30 And the whole city was stirred up, and the people came running together, and they seized Paul and[a] dragged him outside of the temple courts,[b] and immediately the doors were shut.
31 And as they[c] were seeking to kill him, a report came up to the military tribune of the cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.

New International Version
29 (They had previously seen Trophimus(A) the Ephesian(B) in the city with Paul and assumed that Paul had brought him into the temple.)
30 The whole city was aroused, and the people came running from all directions. Seizing Paul,(C) they dragged him(D) from the temple, and immediately the gates were shut. 31 While they were trying to kill him, news reached the commander of the Roman troops that the whole city of Jerusalem was in an uproar.
