Paul before the Council

23 Paul, looking intently at ^(A)the ^[a]Council, said, “^(B)Brethren, ^(C)I have ^[b]lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day.”

¹⁶ In view of this, ^(A)I also ^[a]do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men.

⁵ But the goal of our ^[a](A)instruction is love ^(B)from a pure heart and a ^(C)good conscience and a sincere ^(D)faith.
