Acts 23:10-12

10 And as a great dissension was developing, because the [a]commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them, he ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into (A)the barracks.
11 But on (B)that very night, the Lord stood at his side and said, “(C)Take courage; for (D)as you have (E)solemnly borne witness to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must bear witness at Rome also.”
A Plot to Kill Paul
12 Now when it was day, (F)the Jews formed a [b]conspiracy and (G)bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.

New International Version
10 The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks.(A)
11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage!(B) As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”(C)
The Plot to Kill Paul
12 The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy(D) and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.(E)
