Disciples’ Literal New Testament
25 But while he was speaking about righteousness, self-control and the coming judgment, Felix, having become afraid, responded, “As to the present, go. And having received an opportunity, I will summon you”— 26 at the same time also hoping that money would be given to him by Paul. Therefore indeed, sending for him very-frequently, he was conversing with him.
Two Years Later, Paul Is Accused Before The New Governor, Festus
27 Now two years[a] having been fulfilled, Felix received a successor— Porcius Festus[b]. And wishing to gain[c] favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul bound.

25 As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control(A) and the judgment(B) to come, Felix was afraid(C) and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” 26 At the same time he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe, so he sent for him frequently and talked with him.
27 When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus,(D) but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews,(E) he left Paul in prison.(F)
