26 at the same time also hoping that money would be given to him by Paul. Therefore indeed, sending for him very-frequently, he was conversing with him.
Two Years Later, Paul Is Accused Before The New Governor, Festus
27 Now two years[a] having been fulfilled, Felix received a successor— Porcius Festus[b]. And wishing to gain[c] favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul bound.

27 When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus,(A) but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews,(B) he left Paul in prison.(C)
