6 There the centurion found an (A)Alexandrian ship sailing for (B)Italy, and he put us aboard it. 7 And when we had sailed slowly for a good many days, and with difficulty had arrived off Cnidus, (C)since the wind did not permit us to go farther, we sailed under the shelter of (D)Crete, off Salmone; 8 and with difficulty, we (E)sailed past it and came to a place called Fair Havens, near which was the city of Lasea.

New International Version
6 There the centurion found an Alexandrian ship(A) sailing for Italy(B) and put us on board. 7 We made slow headway for many days and had difficulty arriving off Cnidus. When the wind did not allow us to hold our course,(C) we sailed to the lee of Crete,(D) opposite Salmone. 8 We moved along the coast with difficulty and came to a place called Fair Havens, near the town of Lasea.
