10 And they recognized him, that this one[a] was the one who used to sit asking for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.

11 And while[b] he was holding fast to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico called Solomon’s, utterly astonished. 12 And when he[c] saw it,[d] Peter replied to the people, “Men and Israelites, why are you astonished at this? Or why are you staring at us, as if by our own power or godliness we have made him walk?

10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful,(A) and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

11 While the man held on to Peter and John,(B) all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade.(C) 12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
