¹⁷ “And now, brethren, I know that you acted ^(A)in ignorance, just as your ^(B)rulers did also.

³⁰ Therefore having ^(A)overlooked ^(B)the times of ignorance, God is ^(C)now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,

⁸ the wisdom ^(A)which none of the rulers of ^(B)this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified ^(C)the Lord of glory;

^2 [a](A)he can deal gently with the ^(B)ignorant and ^(C)misguided, since he himself also is ^[b](D)beset with weakness;

⁷ but into ^(A)the second, only ^(B)the high priest enters ^(C)once a year, ^(D)not without taking blood, which he ^(E)offers for himself and for the ^[a](F)sins of the people committed in ignorance.

¹⁴ As ^[a](A)obedient children, do not ^[b](B)be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ^(C)ignorance,
