26 The kings of the earth assembled, and the rulers came together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27 For doubtless, against thine holy Son Jesus, whom thou hadst anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the [a]people of Israel gathered themselves together.
28 To [b]do whatsoever [c]thine hand, and thy counsel had determined before to be done.

26 The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord

27 Indeed Herod(B) and Pontius Pilate(C) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,(D) whom you anointed. 28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.(E)
