10 and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. 11 Now there came a famine over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance. 12 But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent forth our fathers the first time.

New International Version
10 and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt. So Pharaoh made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace.(A)
11 “Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food.(B) 12 When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our forefathers on their first visit.(C)
