10 and rescued him from all his afflictions, and (A)granted him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he made him governor over Egypt and his entire household.
11 “Now (B)a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction with it, and our fathers [a]could find no food. 12 But (C)when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers there the first time.

New International Version
10 and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt. So Pharaoh made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace.(A)
11 “Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food.(B) 12 When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our forefathers on their first visit.(C)
