19 This king dealt treacherously with our kindred, and ill-treated our fathers, and compelled them to cast out their young children so that they would not remain alive. 20 At this time Moses was born, and was loved by God. He was nursed in his father’s house for three months. 21 When he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up and reared him as her own son.

19 He dealt treacherously with our people and oppressed our ancestors by forcing them to throw out their newborn babies so that they would die.(A)
20 “At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child.[a] For three months he was cared for by his family.(B) 21 When he was placed outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.(C)
