48 However, (A)the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:
49 ‘(B)Heaven is My throne,
And the earth is the footstool of My feet;
What kind of house will you build for Me?’ says the Lord,
‘Or what place is there for My rest?
50 (C)Was it not My hand that made all these things?’
51 “You men who are (D)stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did. 52 (E)Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of (F)the Righteous One, and (G)you have now become betrayers and murderers of Him; 53 you who received the Law as (H)ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it.”

What kind of house will you build for me?
says the Lord.
Or where will my resting place be?
50 Has not my hand made all these things?’[a](D)
51 “You stiff-necked people!(E) Your hearts(F) and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52 Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute?(G) They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him(H)— 53 you who have received the law that was given through angels(I) but have not obeyed it.”
