³⁰ When the brothers found out, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.^(A)

²⁵ Then he went to Tarsus to search for Saul,

³⁹ Paul said, “I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia,^(A) a citizen of an important city. Now I ask you, let me speak to the people.”

³ He^(A) continued, “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel^(B) according to the strictness of our ancestral law. I was zealous for God, just as all of you are today.^(C)
