^15 [a]At this time Peter stood up among ^(A)the brothers and sisters (a group of about 120 ^[b]people was there together), and said,

¹⁰ By this the ^(A)children of God and the ^(B)children of the devil are obvious: ^[a]anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who ^(C)does not love his ^(D)brother and sister.

¹⁶ We know love by this, that ^(A)He laid down His life for us; and ^(B)we ought to lay down our lives for the ^(C)brothers and sisters.

^20 (A)If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he ^(B)hates his brother or sister, he is a ^(C)liar; for ^(D)the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, ^(E)cannot love God, whom he has not seen. ²¹ And ^(F)this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God ^(G)must also love his brother and sister.
