The Riot in Ephesus

²¹ After these events, Paul resolved by the Spirit^[a] to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem. “After I’ve been there,” he said, “It is necessary for me to see Rome as well.”^(A)

⁹ You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.^(A) If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,^(B) he does not belong to him.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,^(A) but righteousness, peace, and joy^(B) in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ For through him we both have access^(A) in one Spirit to the Father.^(B)

²² In him you are also being built together^(A) for God’s dwelling^(B) in the Spirit.

⁵ This was not made known to people^[a] in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets^(A) by the Spirit:

¹⁸ Pray^(A) at all times in the Spirit^(B) with every prayer and request, and stay alert^(C) with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit^[a](A) on the Lord’s day, and I heard a loud voice behind me like a trumpet^(B)

³ Then he carried me away in the Spirit^[a](A) to a wilderness.

I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered^[b] with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.^(B)
