²³ except that ^(A)the Holy Spirit solemnly ^(B)testifies to me in every city, saying that ^(C)chains and afflictions await me.

¹¹ And he came to us and ^(A)took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, “This ^(B)is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will ^(C)bind the man who owns this belt and ^(D)hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

²⁹ Therefore, those who were about to ^(A)interrogate him immediately backed away from him; and the commander also ^(B)was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had ^[a](C)put him in chains.

²⁹ And Paul said, “I would ^[a]wish to God that even ^[b]in a short or long time not only you, but also all who hear me this day would become such as I myself am, except for these ^(A)chains.”

²⁰ For this reason, therefore, I ^[a]requested to see you and to speak with you, since I am wearing ^(A)this chain for ^(B)the sake of the hope of Israel.”

²⁰ for which I am an ^(A)ambassador ^(B)in ^[a]chains; that ^[b]in proclaiming it I may speak ^(C)boldly, ^(D)as I ought to speak.

¹⁶ The Lord grant mercy to ^(A)the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and ^(B)was not ashamed of my ^[a](C)chains;

^9 [a]for which I ^(A)suffer hardship even to ^(B)imprisonment as a ^(C)criminal; but ^(D)the word of God ^(E)is not imprisoned.
