³⁴ You yourselves know that these hands have provided for my needs and for those who were with me.^(A)

¹² we labor, working^(A) with our own hands.^(B) When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

¹⁵ But I have used none of these rights, and I have not written this to make it happen that way for me. For it would be better for me to die than for anyone to deprive me of my boast!

⁷ Or did I commit a sin by humbling^(A) myself so that you might be exalted,^(B) because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?^(C)

¹³ So in what way were you treated worse than the other churches, except that I personally did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

⁹ For you remember our labor and hardship, brothers. Working^(A) night and day so that we would not burden any of you, we preached God’s gospel to you.

⁸ we did not eat^(A) anyone’s food^[a] free of charge;^(B) instead, we labored^(C) and struggled,^(D) working^(E) night and day, so that we would not be a burden^(F) to any of you.
