Amos 1:5-7

5 I will also (A)break the gate bar of Damascus
And cut off the inhabitant from the [a]valley of Aven
And him who holds the scepter from Beth-eden;
So the people of Aram will go into exile to (B)Kir,”
Says Yahweh.

6 Thus says Yahweh,

“For three transgressions of (C)Gaza and for four
I will not turn back its punishment
Because they took away into exile the whole community of exiles
To (D)deliver it up to Edom.
7 So I will send fire upon the wall of Gaza,
And it will consume her citadels.

6 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Gaza,(E)
    even for four, I will not relent.(F)
Because she took captive whole communities
    and sold them to Edom,(G)
7 I will send fire on the walls of Gaza
    that will consume her fortresses.
