7 So I will send fire upon the wall of Gaza, and it will destroy her strong-places. 8 I will destroy the people from Ashdod and the king from Ashkelon. I will send My power against Ekron, and the rest of the Philistines will die,” says the Lord God.

7 I will send fire on the walls of Gaza
    that will consume her fortresses.
8 I will destroy the king[a] of Ashdod(A)
    and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon.
I will turn my hand(B) against Ekron,
    till the last of the Philistines(C) are dead,”(D)
says the Sovereign Lord.(E)

9 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Tyre,(F)
    even for four, I will not relent.(G)
Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom,
    disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,(H)
